A regular technique I use for my landscapes is division. I cut up the picture and rearrange the slices in order to create a new one. This series with two separate models shows what happened when I tried it with faces. To me it’s an interesting experiment, for one because of the reactions I got when I showed the results to people. Many found this to be going too far. Why cut up a face? This portrait doesn’t need that. But it’s not about the picture, but about what the artist needs. Let’s say, this is to be continued.
